Students from the University of Los Andes celebrating with Novateva as part of a technology training program

With our hearts in education,
From students to mentors

At Novateva, we believe that sharing what you know can change the world. That’s why, as part of our social mission, we returned to where it all began: the School of Systems Engineering at the University of Los Andes in Mérida, Venezuela.

Today, with pride and commitment, we serve as guest professors, guiding new talent through their first steps in the world of programming. But beyond teaching code, our goal is to inspire, support, and share a real vision of technology as a tool for change.

Why do we do it?

Education changed our lives.

We trained as engineers at the University of Los Andes, and it was there that we learned the principles that guide our work today. Returning as guest lecturers is not just symbolic — it’s a real way to give back what we once received.

The current situation in Venezuela has severely impacted the education system. Massive migration and extremely low wages have driven hundreds of university professors to leave, leaving classroom after classroom without experienced educators. As a result, access to quality education has become increasingly difficult for new generations of Venezuelan students.

Faced with that reality, we refuse to stand by and do nothing.

We know that behind every young person starting an engineering degree today, there are dreams as big as the ones we once had. And if we can help keep that hope alive—even through a single class, a piece of advice, or a project—then we will.

Our social mission aims to build a bridge between knowledge and those who need it most, in the place where we grew up.
